GCE 1985ers Silver Jubilee Mega Event in Nellai (13th, 14th, 15th August 2010)
25 years after our GCE graduation. It finally happened!!! The first-ever trend setting and the pioneering Silver Jubilee event at GCE has really happened!!!
Around fifty five 1985ers assembled together for three days (August 13th, 14th, and 15th) in Tirunelveli and had a great time. On the 13th, there was a knowledge sharing session with the GCE faculty and current students who are studying there. On the 14th, many of the 1985ers and their family members hopped on three buses and went to the famous Kuttralam water falls and had tons of fun there. On that evening, a gala dinner event arranged at the Vijaya Gardens (Palayamkottai) brought the 1985ers together with entertainment, great food etc. Every 1985er who was present at the event hall went to the stage with his/her family members and introduced themselves, described where they are in life, etc. Then, on the 15th, it all culminated at the GCE campus with a fantastic and a memorable Silver Jubilee official event with the presence of several professors from the early 1980s. Many professors, lecturers, and lab technicians were honored at the event through speeches and gift presentations. After this wonderful event, everyone had a delicious lunch, and departed with no mood to leave the campus.
Planning, arrangements, and execution of the events for all the three unforgettable days were done in a picture-perfect manner.
In five words: "A job very well done!!!".
