Good news. We now have our own web domain named gcetly1985 dot com. It is web searchable, desktop and mobile friendly. By using the superb Wayback Machine Internet Archive, the lost content of our previous free of cost website that got shutdown during the Covid period economic woes was recovered. Our new website was built on Jan/18/2024. We can continue to enhance its design, utility and keep adding more new GCE content that all of us want to share.
This new website is not free. Current annual fee is 220 USD (18K INR) which will go up each year for inflation. For 2024, full payment is already made. This site will stay active as long as we keep paying the web domain name hosting ($20) and website hosting ($200) fees in January of every year.
Our web domain name is issued, hosted and renewed annually by Squarespace that is in business since 2003 with its headquarters in NYC. Our website is built using the online tools provided by Squarespace and it is hosted by them. Our website account is tied to a dedicated gmail id created for this particular purpose. Squarespace sends periodic communications about our paid website to that email id. To login to Squarespace for updating and making payments, that email id and its password will be needed.
To avoid a single point of dependency, that email credential details need to be made known to multiple of us from our gcetly1985 batch. So, it got distributed to the gcetly1985 friends shown below via email on Jan/26/2024 on a need to know basis. It is a must to keep it confidential and safeguard it digitally in a secure place for future use as need arises. A good operating procedure is that email id's password and the website content can get changed only with the group consent.
